I Wanna Be A Cowboy
I was totally expecting a non-elimation night and Phil had to go and pull the rug (or this case the Amazing Mat) from under me.
I missed the beginning of the episode so I didn’t see the showdown between the Weavers and the Linzes (or was it just one Linz) so I didn’t really have a lot of dislike for the Weavers.
We had a balloon ride, a “working on the rail road task”, geyser watching and cow herding. The positive thing I have to say about the Weavers is that they work well as a team. Bad with relating to other people but they really pulled together in the Steam It detour to move away from the Godlewskis and eventually move up into second place.
The girls really aced the cow herding task but since they know how to ride horses they made it look so easy.
What is up with the Godlewski sisters? Is Christine the youngest? Why do the other sisters keep ragging on her and blaming her for their mistakes? Why can’t the sister who drives back up a car and wagon properly? Why do they keep shrieking?
Poor Linzes. They had a production error with one of the cameras and lost time but given that there was no pit stop they have a chance to get into it.
The Bransens did pretty good. I still don’t know each of the daughters - they all look alike!
Visiting Old Faithful is a great example of how bunching can be a good thing. The fact that teams have an interval of 90 odd minutes to make it to the site made for interesting viewing - I was really hoping that the Bransens could be the only ones but the Weavers made it in time.
For the first time since the Gaghans left I’m looking forward to the next episode!
And since there was no elimination the poll will be carried forward for next week.

the mention of gaghan just had me wondering how they’d react to all the beautiful places of utah…and the thought of what billy would say the cattle herding task…i so miss them!
