The Last Nice Family
I nearly choked when one of the Weavers said that they were “the last nice family in this race” because from what we’ve seen they’re nothing but hypocrites. I’ll give Rolly a pass on this one because he doesn’t say much but man all that complaning - Utah is ugly? It’s majestic!
The challenges were more interesting in this leg - the 270 foot rappel was awesome (or sweet! to quote the Linzes) and that ski challenge was funny!
The Godlewskis had trouble manuvering their car and the trailer that they were pulling which caused them to drop behind a little bit at the beginning but because of the Linzes mistake in not getting a number they were able to go on the first helicopter flight with the Weavers.
In one of the tasks, the teams had to find the mysterious Bart, not realizing that it was a tame Grizzly Bear. The route info informed them that they could not run or yell which one of the Godlewski sisters quipped that “that will be hard for us to do”.
The Godlewskis and the Linzes made a pact that if there was a yield ahead, they would yield the Weavers and sure enough, the Linzes were first and promptly yielded the “nice Christian family”. I think that’s an Amazing Race record - the same team being yielded twice not out of any race necessity but out of sheer dislike on the part of other teams.
This played to the Bransen’s advantage as they were able to sneak into second place and finally the Linzes, after some close calls, finished first!
The Weavers finished dead last not just because of the yield but because they took a scenic route to the Roadblock. But luckily for them it was a non-elimination. They didn’t seem to be too excited to be in the race but after some encouraging words from Phil, they were back on track.
In a total aside, from the last four teams, can you name all members? Out of the 16 people I can only name 8 people!

too bad that leg was non-elimination.i want the weavers out for good.all that yakking about how ugly utah is defines what “christian teachings” they have.nature is at its best in utah!the sheer beauty of the state was well-captured albeit, in a flashing scene.the good thing about them though, is how mama weaver’s able to keep them together strong.which explains their snotty attitude towards the other teams.
on one hand, i am beginning to like the linzes.they have always been a strong team and i hope they keep this momentum.they need to improve their navigational skills as nick missed a turn because he was perhaps too busy enjoying the scenery and forgot to keep an eye on road signages? o:)
the bransens are still on and so are the godlewskis.at this point, i cannot gauge yet who i should be rooting for…o:)…my heart still wills for the gaghans to miraculously appear in the race. ahahaha….anyhoo, i can’t wait for the next episode. especially with that threat of mama weaver after an insulting brush off from the linzes that they were not sorry at all for yielding them…whihehehehehe!o:)

I love the Weaver family! Mostly because of the really hott guy! You do know they just lost their father! Leave them alone!

I understand how hard that has been for them but they didn’t have to come on the race and frankly being grief stricken doesn’t entitle you to act out and then not face the consequences.
I liked the Weavers in the beginning. I still think they work together well as a team but it’s their holier-than-thou attitude that has been turning me off them.

I can’t believe that last night was a non elimination round! How bad did that suck! Finally the uber annoying Weavers are at the bottom and they are still in the race…grrrrr. I think what really annoyes me with them is their “Holy-er than Thou” attitute that they have for just about everyone in the race. There hasn’t been a single team that they have not bad mouthed! Some Christians! As for people not talking to them, who can blame them, when you walk away they will only talk about you then (ie when the sister went to console the Weaver kids at the track…really who had no class there!) I WANT THEM OFF THE SHOW!

like we haven’t seen how the weavers reacted to every attempt of befriending them. and the next episode? talk about bitchiness when mama weaver nonchalantly threatened the linzes over what she calls a wasted yield and that they’ll be sorry…talk about attitude. i miss the gaghans.

the martry family needs to go aka the weavers…..I agree with what others have said about them working well together as a team BUT there attitude is just plain hypocritical and judgmental. and I quite don’t get how they are the last nice family? I hope when they watch themselves on T.V. , they realize what a bad representation of Christianilty they were.

I CAN”T stand hearing the Weavers whine about how no one likes them for another minute!! Rolly’s crack out the window about how some biking native “wasn’t Lance Armstrong” was downright rude. Is that entire family blind? How can they not see that they’re the rude ones and that’s why no one likes them. And really, when the host has to convince them to not give up… I can’t believe that anyone is that ignorant and unaware of it. And PS Phil is the cutest one on that show, and he’s there every season!

The weavers are the biggest hypocrites I’ve seen in a very long time. I have serious doubts about their idea of christianity. I hope we won’t have to endure much more of them!

At least none of the other families are claiming to be something they’re not! The Weaver family is the most hypocritical group of “Christians” I have ever seen. Yes, they work together well but when ever any of the other families tried to befriend them in the beginning, the bratty girls had nothing but rude remarks and comments. The so called “Desperate Housewives” even tried to make the kids feel better when their mother was on a go-kart (since their father was killed on a race track) and when they walked away, they showed their true colors and made fun of the moms! It’s no wonder that nobody likes them now! I hope that when they see themselves on TV, they take a long hard look at themselves.

It is funny to read. Everybody who says the Weavers are not despicable then says one of them is hot. Think with your head, not other body parts. They pass themselves off as the only nice team and Christians, but they act as neither. Criticizing other teams, tossing trash out the windows, wearing those shorts and tops, and just plain being downright rude are all behaviors that a Christian would not do. They evidently do not act like they should if they were Christians. They should be truthful and admit they are jerks. I hope they realize that when they view the season on TV.

The Weavers don’t seem like very nice people. I understand they lost their dad and she lost her husband, I feel for them, but that doesn’t give them the right to treat other people with little or no respect.

I love the Weavers. I don’t understand why everyone is so down on them. It’s obvious to me that they’re acting the way they are because:
(1)skewed editing
(2)As a way to pump themselves up. I’m right your wrong type of thing.
I like them the best, because there is never ANY “in-fighting” which you can’t say for the Griplewskis. They direct their ill will toward other teams. How can you not admire them after the leg they ran last episode? They pretty much hauled butt.
People need to get off their proverbial “high horse” and realize even though they are Christians (believe in Christ) they are not perfect. They play the villain role perfectly. It makes for some great television.

I like the Weaver family because mother Weaver keeps them together. Those kids listen to her. None of the in-fighting that the other teams have. Yes, the Weavers have made stupid comments…. “so what” the other teams too. The Bransens do not need the $$$ the Dad is a “CFO” (Chief Financial Officer). The Linz’s are immature I hate their body function comments (jokes??). Both the Bransen’s and Linz’s have traveled the world…. they have the $$$. The Weavers were first time fliers! I go with the Weavers, first ever to be yielded twice and still there! I hated the Utah comment…. but “how many children, make dumb comments everyday”, but they are not on TV.

I like the Weaver’s out of all the other teams. For me they’re the only interesting team to watch. They do make me laugh at their err hypocritical comments, but well thats what makes them so entertaining for me. So what if they say they’re Christian and then do things that are very unChristian like. It’s not like they’re the only Christians out their that are hypocrites. You have many people making fun of places away from where they live. For me, this show emphasizes (sp?) on a group’s religion, i remember a few seasons back, where the guy with really curly hair, kept preaching about how God was there to help them, they’re the same as the Weavers excluding the fact that they only had two adults for their team instead of a team with a mother and 3 teens. Welp, instead of me rambling on about stuff that’ll probably confuse you, can’t say i hate a team, so i wish them all good luck in the race ^^’

It’s great how you guys call the Weavers hypocrites when about every team has done the same thing also skewed editing does play a good part the fact is they are Christians and also human and do make mistakes. Based on this show you really can’t make opinions on people. You have to get to know them in real life. I know how they are because I goto school with them. They are really nice people just have to get to know them.

If the Weavers are christians, I don’t want any part of it. They talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk. They call names, act very unchristian, and all in all I certainly agree that they are not very nice people. I hope anyone but them wins.

Way to go Weaver family! You held in there through think and thin. The grand finally was a joke with the Bransens and Linz’s standing there saying they only feared the competition from each other team’s. Watch the last episode again and you will clearly see them saying to each other, “It does not matter which wins but not the weavers.” So who were both of those teams afraid off? Sounds pretty hipocritical to me… Weavers you have class and have stuck in there and competed a great race regardless of the turn-out in the race you are all winners in my family’s eyes. Hats off to you and shame on you Amazing race for your bad editing job….

I think just because you know them it doesn’t mean that they are a good person.personally i do like Rolly out of the Weavers family.he done such a great job in the entire race.n he seems like to be the only member in the family that talk less n do more.but his mother n sister are so annoying!!if i was yielded buy other family 2 times in the race,i would have thought what have i done wrong.if is my mistake i would ask for an apology if isn’t my mistake i would confront to the people..but they didn’t!!they just know people hate them but they think this wasn’t their fault n keep complaining…is undeniable that in the final episod the Weavers family did a great job…but i still hoping the Linz family will win the race..n they were:) Tommy Linz,u r so funny n hot!!

hahhahhaha, that weaver family is a joke…they are the RUDEST people to EVER be on the amazing race…they need to watch the show like 10 times, because obviously they are dillusional and so fucked up physchology.
Their such great christians… Rude, Hyprocritical…etc…hahaha…they should be abandoned by their church if thats possible…maybe it is?
Oh yeah, i hope they have now realized they can’t get whatever they want by praying, it obviously didn’t help them win the race….I lost count how many times they prayed for help to win the race…IM SO HAPPY THEY LOST, otherwise in their dillusional fucked up minds, they might have thought the praying made them win.
The funniest part was when they went to the go-kart track and had their little emotional breakdown…seemed like such bullshit to me…
