Losing The Amazing Race
National Review Online has an interesting article on how the perils of “family-friendly” shows.
“Ironically, before it went family, The Amazing Race was one of the few really solid, parent-tested, kid-approved shows out there… Contestants visibly matured, or they fell apart spectacularly… The more audiences expect cleanliness at the expense of quality, the harder it gets.
I do think The Amazing Race is a great family show but I think the Amazing Race 8 has shown that too much family isn’t a good thing.
