BP Hosts Viewing Party for Amazing Race Family Edition Season Premiere in Central Park
Amazing Race Bootcamp and Rob and Amber from the “Amazing Race” and “Survivor All Stars” to Teach New Yorkers and Tourists Adventure Skills Needed to be an Amazing Race Contestant
WHAT:
The 8th season of “The Amazing Race” promises to be the most interesting yet as 10 families — including kids — compete for a $1 million dollar prize. To coincide with the season premiere, “Amazing Race” fans and visitors to Central Park will be able to play games that teach skills such as map-reading, bartering, compass-reading, language skills and sign-reading at the BP “Amazing Race” BootcamP. The season premiere will be broadcast “movie in the park” style on a giant screen.

WHY:
Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich, former “Amazing Race” contestants, will act as emcees and hosts of the event. Rob and Amber first met while previously on “Survivor: All Stars” before competing as a team in last season”s “Amazing Race.” Rob and Amber were married in April of 2005, an event that was highlighted a month later by another CBS show, “Rob & Amber Get Married”.
BP Products North America is the sponsor for this event and a sponsor of the “The Amazing Race” because, this season, the Amazing Race runs through BP.
