Why can’t people from other countries sign up for The Amazing Race?
I’ve gotten this question a lot from TAR fans around the world. Unfortunately The Amazing Race is only open to American citizens living in the United States. I speculate this is for visa purposes and one of the general rules for competitions in the US.
Creator of the Amazing Race, Bertram van Munster said in an interview, “[The Amazing Race]is strictly for Americans [but] if anybody wants to buy the format, he or she is welcome to do so and include other nationalities”

I can understand why the Amazing Race is filmed with just american teams, but I think it would be really interesting to do an international version with teams from all over the world. Since it is made for US TV they could limit it to English speaking teams, but it would be really interesting to see how teams from different countries would cope.

Aussies love The Amazing Race, we would love to apply maybe we should start our own over here, give us a bell if you ever need Aussies in the race!

i checked the visa requirements and us aussies can travel to similar countries as u.s. citizens without a problem. how about it phil and bertram?

My family and I were a big fans of Amazing Race. I love to join but can’t sign up
. Im from Philippines. Just lemme know if me and my partner can sign up for Amazing Race Asia?
